I almost didn’t post this… because 2025 tried me in ways I didn’t expect.

Mentally, it was heavy. Anxiety and depression showed up, and because I’m high-functioning, most people never saw it. I still showed up. Still smiled. Still handled business. But behind the scenes? I was doing the work to survive and heal.

So this reel isn’t about perfection — it’s about perspective.

I’m deeply thankful for my small but mighty support circle, for prayers answered during scary medical moments, and for love shown through people when I needed it most. Jehovah’s care was felt through them 🤍

There was joy too. Traveling with my husband, unplugging, dancing, hiking a rainforest (something I never thought I could do), family vacations, and soaking up the most beautiful views. Spiritually fed through conventions and assemblies that reminded me who I am and whose I am.

I leveled up in big ways — moved into a beautiful new salon, built an incredible team of women, judged a fashion show, attended community conferences, invested in advanced color and business education, and FINISHED my first 5K in YEARS (speed loading for 2026 🏃🏽‍♀️).

I celebrated love at weddings and showers, enjoyed weekly date nights, family dinners full of laughs, gym sessions that saved my sanity, quiet mornings, self-care, and peace found in my garden.

We had the privilege of attending the Tennessee Library Trustee Workshop at the beautiful Crossville Library, and it was such a wonderful experience! 💛

We met Jamie Ritter, Tennessee’s State Librarian & Archivist, and heard so many great updates about what’s happening across libraries in our state. We also enjoyed hearing from several other amazing speakers and panelists — so much knowledge shared! It was great connecting with other trustees and bringing fresh ideas home. 🤝✨

A big highlight was touring the new Geology and Archive Building with Ms. Joyce as our tour guide. 🧭📜 We loved learning about Crossville’s rich history (and even other states’!) — and it reminded us how special our own local archive room is at Clyde W. Roddy Public Library.

We also enjoyed exploring all the beautiful art exhibits — so creative and inspiring! 🎨🖼️

Our heart is to make the Clyde W. Roddy Public Library a space where you can create, learn, and connect — a safe, welcoming place that brings people together and inspires one story at a time. 💛
